Nexign Launches FreeDom Program, Letting Its Staff Choose Between Office and Remote Work
St. Petersburg, Russia, 3 June 2020: Nexign (a part of ICS Holding), a leading Business Support System (BSS) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions provider for communications service providers (CSPs), today announced the launch of the comprehensive Nexign FreeDom program, which allows its staff to come into the office as and when they choose to do so. Nexign specialists will be able to decide how many days a week to go into the office, or they can opt to shift entirely to remote work. All staff will continue to work from home until July 31st, in line with the company’s plans to ensure their safety. In the meantime, Nexign will continue to implement new projects and support its customers’ systems as normal.
“We conducted a survey of Nexign staff which showed that 55% of our specialists enjoy working from home. Moreover, 86% of those surveyed felt that their productivity had remained the same or even improved,” said Andrey Zakharov, HR Director at Nexign. “The overwhelming majority of Nexign specialists prefer to work remotely on a full- or part-time basis, with just 15% saying that they would rather come into the office four or five days per week. We have taken this as a signal that we need to act.”
Currently, nearly 1,800 Nexign staff are working from home in Russia, Turkey, the UAE, and other countries. To make this a more pleasant as well as a more efficient process, the company is launching a comprehensive program, Nexign FreeDom. The aim is to strike a balance between the freedom to come into the office and accountability for performance. Every employee will now be able to organise their work as they wish, taking into account the opportunities offered by Nexign and the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. Everyone will be able to choose the schedule that works best for them: five days a week in the office, part-time home working (between one and four days per week in the office) or full-time remote work. The scheme will be ready for launch on August 1st, 2020, but the processes involved will be piloted by several of the company’s departments beforehand.
In conjunction with the launch of Nexign FreeDom, the company is expanding its compensation package and reimbursing the employees for the cost of fitting out their home offices, including the purchase of desks and chairs as well as other equipment required for them to work from home.
“The health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners have always been and will continue to be an absolute priority for Nexign. For more than 28 years, we have been helping our customers, telecom operators around the world, to provide stable, 24/7 communications for over 200 million subscribers. And I’m proud to say that even now, regardless of the external circumstances, the quality of our services is as high as ever. This shows that the Nexign team works equally effectively in customers’ offices and remotely,” – commented Igor Gorkov, CEO of Nexign.
