Replacing the outdated mediation system, as its legacy vendor could no longer ensure reliable support and development, with a modern solution capable of meeting the operator’s increasing demands for data processing speed and flexibility.

The legacy mediation system was built on an outdated technological stack, resulting in significant operational overhead due to the involvement of either the internal IT team or the vendor required whenever a new data processing workflow was needed. Additionally, the vendor faced challenges with system stability and lacked a clear development roadmap. 

A seamless migration to the new solution — without disrupting performance or the existing IT landscape — was critical for the operator. Having already successfully deployed Nexign BSS, the client’s choice of Nexign Mediation helped minimize the risks of failure or accidents during the migration.

The project was initiated in August 2024. The Nexign team started the solution deployment within the existing multi-vendor IT landscape and established business processes. Just four months later, the transition to Nexign Mediation was successfully completed, despite the operator's team facing a heavy workload and limited resources. 

The Nexign team has implemented old and new CDR processing workflows in the system, such as connecting various data producers (multi-vendor network equipment, roaming partners, SMS center) and data consumers (BSS, OCS, data warehouses, revenue assurance, etc.)
